It's Christmas time and with Christmas comes beautiful, elaborate meals. Turkey, stuffing, pumpkin pie. Just 3 reasons to start kicking your cardio into over drive.
With the amount of calories people eat this time of year everyone is looking for an exercise to reduce tummy fat and help keep their slender figure all the way through the holidays.
The best way to stay fit through the season without punishing yourself at the gym for hours on end is to really watch what your eating. A good friend of mine once told me "You can lose weight on a McDonalds diet, if you eat in moderation." Which is more true then anyone might think.
Watching your portion sizes during the three or four turkey dinners you might be having this year really is the key. Instead of caving and drinking a few glasses of wine with each meal, opt for water instead. That will cut about 600 calories out per meal.
If when all is said and done. You ate more then you should have, it's really up to you to get in that gym and sweat it out for a few hours. That way you wont feel guilty for eating so much.
It should always be your goal to head into the new year more confident and more comfortable with yourself then you were the year before. If you go through New Years without hitting the gym, even after eating all that turkey, cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes and yams. You really won't be entering the new year in the best mental state. Which is always a negative when starting a year fresh.
If, for some reason the New Year rolls around and you don't feel like getting out of bed and all you can think about is how that seventh and eigth glass of champagne was probably too much this is what you need to do.
Get out of bed and make yourself something to eat. Make sure you don't feel nauseous or your meal might just come right back up. When your done eating, take a nap. Let your meal settle. When you've passed your meal it should take all the alcohol in your system with it.
Now that all the alcohol is out of your system, go to sleep early. This shouldn't be an issue as a hungover body is a tired body. When you wake the next day you should be ready to go. If you have to work then make sure you wake up early and get to the gym before work so your energy peaks through out the day.
Getting in a nice workout before heading over to your job will have you in a better mood and more productive throughout the long day. When your at the gym, if your trying to focus on an exercise to reduce tummy fat, don't you wont be able to focus burn your stomach. Just grind it out on that treadmill and it will come sooner or later.
